Cake Smash

Cake Smash + Splash sessions are a fun way to celebrate your babies first year, in a fun way that's unique to their personality. These sessions can be held in my studio or outdoors (weather permitting). Each session includes a themed set-up, chosen by you, and one simple set up. The simple sit up is done without cake, and offers me an opportunity to capture your one year old in a way that is classic and timeless. The themed set-ups can range from something rather simple, with just florals or a couple balloons, or something a bit more dramatic. We can match the theme to baby's party theme, or we can go with something that aligns with their personality. Are they obsessed with donuts, like me? In that case, a donut smash is a no brainer. We end each cake smash session with a quick "splash" in a small tub, on set, to capture some fun tubby time and to help clean them up before you head home.

Each session is approximately 45-60 minutes long and allows for 1 outfit change. Session takes place in my studio (morning thru early afternoon) or outdoors (sunrise or 1.5 hours before sunset). Props and set up provided by Erin Layton Photography. You are required to provide your own cake.
